WEST MIDS COMPANY SUPPLYING TO THE WORLD CELEBRATES MILESTONE
A West Midlands company is celebrating a successful 45 years in business this year which has seen it develop its global reputation as a pioneer in the galvanizing sector.
Hasco-Thermic Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of B.E Wedge Holdings – the holding company of Wedge Group Galvanizing – is marking the anniversary by celebrating its strong business growth strategy which has most recently seen its sales double.
Angela Curtis, Managing Director at Hasco-Thermic Ltd, explained: “We’re delighted to be marking our 45th anniversary this year, during which we have established a reputation for supplying and installing reliable, effective and durable galvanizing equipment. We’ve delivered plant and equipment to more than 200 projects across 36 countries, and have cemented our place as world-leaders in galvanizing furnaces with our pioneering pulse-fired, high velocity system.
“Over the past eight years in particular, under our current management, we have undergone a complete turnaround strategy which has delivered growth and seen a doubling in sales. This is testament to the strong commitment we’ve placed as an organisation on research and development, and to our highly-skilled and knowledgeable team which has played an integral role in the business’s development.”
Hasco-Thermic Ltd has evidenced its commitment to nurturing the next generation by taking on apprentices who are now fully-fledged members of the team and continuing to host domestic and international students on work experience on a regular basis, providing them with knowledge and insight into galvanizing, and helping to promote the importance of the engineering industry.
“We’ve also recently completed a third Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme with Sheffield University, which has seen us accredited with the highest possible standard of ‘outstanding’ by the independent KTP assessment panel, which is just fantastic. For the last four and a half decades, we’ve developed our reputation for supplying and installing reliable, efficient and durable galvanizing plant equipment from here in the West Midlands to countries around the world, in North & South America, Europe, Middle East and Asia. We’re extremely proud to be marking this important anniversary and are looking forward to the next 45 years.”
